Please be assured that your assets remain safe and available for withdrawal. All withdrawals fees will be waived. We will cease taking deposits immediately.

We believe there is ample time to make decisions regarding your holdings, so we recommend you read through the information below carefully, before taking action.

There are two important dates you need to be aware of:

  • August 22 – the Exchange will close for trading

  • September 14 – the Exchange will close for withdrawals.

What you need to know:

  • We will no longer accept deposits on the Exchange, with immediate effect.

  • EQONEX will no longer be available for trading from 08.00AM UTC on August 222022. We urge you to close out your derivatives trading positions before this deadline.

  • You can continue to access your EQONEX account until 08.00AM UTC on September 14. Please ensure you withdraw your holdings before this deadline.

  • All withdrawal fees will be waived.

  • Please be aware, we expect higher than usual levels of activity, so it may take longer than usual to process your request.

For EQO Holders

The EQO token, being an exchange-only utility token, has now ceased trading on the EQONEX exchange. We are currently taking your input on EQO, and are also working to enable withdrawals, as EQO was previously captive to the EQONEX ecosystem.

We expect EQO withdrawals to be enabled by August 23 and we apologize for the delay in deploying this technical add-on.

We are closing the exchange for trading on 08.00AM UTC on August 22. We will cease taking deposits immediately. Please be assured that you can continue to access your EQONEX accounts to close out positions until that date.

You can continue to access your EQONEX account to transfer or withdraw your fiat and digital asset holdings until 08.00AM UTC on September 14. We recommend that you take action before that date. We will send reminders to help ensure you are ready.

2. What do I need to do with my EQONEX trading account?

There are two important dates to be aware of:

3. What happens if I am unable to close out my derivatives positions prior to the exchange closure on August 22?

We encourage customers to proactively take action with respect to their derivatives trading positions before the exchange closes permanently for trading at 08.00AM UTC on August 22, 2022.

Upon the closure of the exchange, EQONEX will need to close out outstanding derivatives positions on behalf of clients who were unable to do so, at the prevailing market.

We will endeavor to provide our clients with sufficient warnings and reminders prior to taking this course of action.

5. How do I withdraw my assets?

You can easily transfer and withdraw your holdings by logging into your EQONEX account.

6. My withdrawal is taking longer than expected, what should I do?

We anticipate longer than usual processing times for withdrawals and transfers owing to the expected higher levels of activity. EQONEX will maintain 24/7 Treasury Operations and Customer servicing during this time to minimize disruptions.

7. What will happen if I cannot shift my assets before the deadline?

We recommend that customers do their best to meet the deadline.

EQONEX will reach out to customers directly who fail to withdraw their assets following the exchange closure with more information.

8. I missed the withdrawal deadline. How do I access my account assets now the exchange is closed?

We will reach out to impacted customers directly.
