This article is designed for assigned Authorized Person(s) of an Institution account.

After getting invited by the Account Admin (See: How to invite a User to your Exchange Account ), Authorized Person will receive an invitation email to onboard on EQONEX.

To access the full range of features on EQONEX, Authorized Person first needs to complete your KYC verification.

The following is a list of the required documents you must provide to complete this process:

  • Identification document: A government-issued document (i.e Passport or National ID card) detailing:

    • Full name, including any aliases

    • Unique identification number

    • Date and place of birth

    • Nationality

  • Proof of address: A utility bill OR a bank/credit card statement dated less than 3 months ago. Please note: We accept the following types of utility bills: Gas, Electric, Water, Landline Phone, or Broadband Internet, but we do not accept mobile / cell phone bills.

Refer to Know Your Customer (KYC) document guidelines for further details.

Step 1: Follow account set-up instructions.

Step 2: Click on your User Profile on the top-right corner of your dashboard.

If you're on the Trading screen (/trade), click on the burger-menu icon on the top-right of your browser window. Then, click on Accounts or User Profile.

Step 3: Go to Identity Verification and choose Complete Onboarding.

Refer to Identification levels for further details regarding the trading abilities for each Identification level.

Step 4: Fill out your basic information.

Step 5: Fill out your detailed information.

In the detailed information section, please provide us with your country of nationality, date of birth, residence/national ID number (if your country does not have a national ID system, you may input your social security number, driver's license number, or passport number instead), and residential address.

Step 6: Upload your ID document.

Please upload a copy of a valid document. A picture of your ID or its photocopy will not be accepted.

Step 7: Please have your mobile phone ready at this step.

Use your mobile phone to scan the displayed QR code. Alternatively, you can choose to receive the link via SMS or copy the link from your browser.

Once you have completed all the tasks requested from the link, click Submit verification. EQONEX will immediately perform a primary check on your provided details. We may also request an additional Proof of Address document (if needed). At this point, you have reached Identification Level 2.

Our KYC team will get back to you as soon as possible via email to confirm the creation of your EQONEX account.

After the Authorized Person account get fully verified, Institution Admin is able to assign them to Exchange Account. Please see How to set up your Exchange Account(s) on EQONEX for further guidelines.
