What is Video KYC?
Video KYC (vKYC) is a method of document verification. It is conducted virtually to verify the documents you submitted with your application.
Why is Video KYC necessary?
To comply with financial regulations and to protect EQONEX against fraud and crime, we need to verify the authenticity of our clients and the documents we receive. By doing this, we are able to offer a trading environment where you can be confident that your trading counterparty has been properly screened.
What to do before and during the Video KYC?
The KYC Team will email you a link to our video KYC booking system. By clicking on the link you will be able to select the date and time for the video call that is most convenient for you. You will then receive an email confirmation with your appointment details and the Zoom link to the video call. This call does not usually take more than 3-5 minutes.
Should you wish to reschedule to another time at your convenience, please click on the ‘Reschedule’ button in the confirmation email. Otherwise, we do request that you join the vKYC on time with your physical documents so that we can quickly complete this security process. Please ensure your camera is turned on and there is adequate lighting in the room.
What are the alternatives to Video KYC?
As an alternative, you can also provide us with the Certified True Copies of your KYC documents.
What happens after the Video KYC?
Video KYC is the last step of the onboarding process. Once successfully conducted, you will receive an email notification as soon as your onboarding process is complete.
